Stella McCartney Designs New Children’s Line for Gap

Fabulous designer, Stella McCartney is expanding her fashion brand to children, and it is already available!

Stella McCartney has collaborated with Gap kids and baby Gap to launch her first full children’s wear collections. She already has a line with H & M. Select Gap stores will be carrying the line in Canada, USA, the UK, France and Japan.
The line consists of 70-pieces, in which she took inspiration from her three children and her signature McCartney line.

“It’s quite a good thing to have kids when you’re designing a kids’ collection, to be aware that they actually have their own point of view.”

The sizes range from newborn to children up to 12 years old. McCartney also made sure the fabrics are kid friendly, such as organic cotton, cashmere and wool. So, there will be no scratchy or itchy fabric complaints happening!

Some of the pieces of the children’s line are mirror versions of her ready-to-wear collections.

Gap Already has a decent price point, so children are getting great quality clothing at affordable rates. Prices for the line run from $14 for wool tights to $128 for a military style jacket.

From what the Gals see, this line is one of the most adorable fashion forward lines for kids. There are so many mixes and match possibilities with great quality fabric and great prices all-in-one. Best luck to Stella McCartney, but she does not need too much because the line sells itself!

Nicole Richie’s New Contemporary Line: Winter Kate

Nicole Richie’s latest fashion endeavor is her new contemporary line, Winter Kate. The name comes from her daughter Harlow’s two middle names.

Winter Kate is a 37-piece line consisting of tops, vests and bed jackets. This line is more so Richie’s personal style mass produced.

“I probably wear the same two pairs of jeans every day as the background to a fabulous top,” she said. “Bed jackets are a staple of my wardrobe because they are a gorgeous way to give jeans and a white t-shirt a completely different look.”

The Winter Kate line is set to debut in February 2010, at our favorite stores that include: Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave., Ron Herman, Intermix and Kitson.

Richie’s already establishes fashion business includes an accessory line, House of Harlow 1960, also named after her daughter and a maternity collection with A Pea in the Pod.

The Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 lines both have the same customer.

“She is a woman like me: she does not look at labels; she knows how to mix and match. The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self expression and fun.”

All in All, the Gals wish Nicole Richie the best with her new line. And we will be amongst the first to check it out at the stores and probably recommending it to you!
